“My disability was that I couldn’t speak; immediately I realized how difficult that was. I love communicating with people and only being able to use my hands or a cellphone made it difficult to have a conversation,” says Molly O’Keefe, a student who attended the event. “We don’t realize how much we take things for granted until it is taken away.”
