Assistant Executive Director of Development and Engagement
Chris Shade is a proud Cleveland native and graduate of Bowling Green State University and holds a Master of Public Administration from UNC Charlotte. Since graduating from BGSU in 2008, Chris has worked in the private sector, education and nonprofit fields. He has served four years on staff with Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity in various roles including expansion, alumni engagement, volunteer services and analytics. He returned to staff in 2015 to oversee development for both Pi Kappa Phi Foundation and Ability Experience. He currently serves as Assistant Executive Director of Ability Experience. In this role, he oversees the chapter services strategies and development and engagement of the organization’s supporters.
Chris has been actively involved with his alma mater both as President of Delta Sigma Alumni chapter and now Chair of Bowling Green State University’s Fraternity-Sorority Alumni Council. Chris has been involved in a number of causes in Charlotte, chief among them being 24 Foundation, serving as captain of Team Betsie in 24 Hours of Booty. Chris is also a proud member of Leadership Charlotte Class 39 and served as a member of the Lead Team for Class 40.
In his spare time, Chris is an avid runner, cyclist and photographer. He enjoys woodwork and has spent much of the last few years renovating his first home. His love for all things Cleveland sports (even the Browns) is only second to his love for his wife Bonny and their two dogs, Monty and Brutus.
