Today the team sluggishly awoke at 6:00 AM at the ability camp in Long Beach to prepare for our third day of riding. It was another cool and gloomy morning in California which is something I’m not sure we all appreciated enough as we know enduring intense heat is in our near future. We departed around 7:00 AM for our 58 mile ride to Riverside CA. The roads out of Long Beach were flat with a wide bike lane, which was a pleasant change of pace after yesterday’s hectic ride up and down the shoulder of a mountain. One of the biggest highlights of the trip was about 30 miles in as we passed by Angels stadium home of the los angels baseball team, and the Honda Center home of the Anaheim ducks hockey team. The second half of the ride consisted of a few rolling hills through scenic mountain passes and concluded with a seamless entrance into Riverside. Upon arrival the team headed to LA fitness for much needed showers and then towards the church in riverside where we would be staying the night with appetizing street tacos awaiting our arrival. As the team retires to bed we are tired, satisfied with today’s ride, more then anything excited for tomorrow’s adventure
