Today the team finally crossed east over the Mississippi River & entered Vicksburg, MS! The ride was 90 miles & one of the most scenic green & flat rides of the trip. We were greeted by the staff of the Mississippi Welcome Center & truly saw why Mississippi is called the hospitality state. We took pictures in front of the MS River & at the Mississippi welcome sign. We stayed at the YMCA in Vicksburg & were treated to baked potatoes from McCalister’s Deli by a Theta Alpha chapter Pi Alpha
