6-Aug-17

August 6, 2017 – Charlotte, NC to Randlemann, NC – 85 miles

Today was nothing short of incredible. We started off the morning g with Durward Owen, the founder of the Ability Experience and a man recognized by several organizations for his efforts. He lives a life that every member of Pi Kappa Phi should strive for. From there we made quick work of an 85 mile ride and ended up in Victory Junction. If you have never heard of it, Google it and spread the word. It is a fully accessible camp that can handle the full range of ability. They even go to the extent of having a full clinic on site should a child not be able to go far from hospital level support. They make camp available to all, at no expense. It just goes to show that anything is possible, you just have to stay persistent and find the right people.
