After two days of told training, not only did I learn a lot about how to handle the tooldsthat we will be using this summer, but I also realized how big of a difference I can make by picking them up and building accessible ammenities for people with different abilities. I’m genuinely excited for what our team is going to be able to give back to the country. I’ve never really picked up any power tools before, because I never thought it was something worth learning. However, these last two days totally changed my persepctive, now I know that whether I am building a Pirate Ship for a playground, or just needing to make repairs at home, I know I am able to. I will never forget this amazing experience, and I can’t wait to see the summer unravel.
