July 10, 2017 – Lubbock, TX to Snyder, TX – 95 miles

After a relaxing day off, we had the opportunity to ride about 95 miles into the town of Snyder, Texas. During the ride we faced a few challenges such as bumpy roads and a little wind, but nothing we couldn’t handle. Once we arrived in Snyder, we lodged at Western Texas College where we shared a dorm room with another team member, which was a welcome change to lodging.

After a couple hours of unwinding from a long day on the bike. we headed to a delicious chicken fried steak dinner which was sponsored by the City of Snyder. While at dinner we had the pleasure of meeting the mayor along with other city council members who discussed their many years living in the town. Returning from dinner, part of the team was able to watch the Home Run Dirby in one of the student lounges at the college, another luxury that we were happy to have. All in all, our day in Snyder was another amazing step in our journey across the country.
