July 23, 2017 – Brandon, MS to Meridian, MS – 75 miles
Today was the last full day in Mississippi. Although it was short we had a great time! Today we rode 75 miles into Meridian MS. Today was the first day in a while we had some pretty steep rolling hills. It was really nice to have a change in scenery.
We had a great lunch sponsored by Iota Nu at Mississippi State University. We had some tasty subs at lunch that gave us the fuel to finish the last 20 miles of the ride. Our pace line was the first to make it in lodging at Meridian Community College and we stayed in the dorms. It was great to have an actual bed to sleep in for the night. We took a quick nap and headed across campus to a church and had a great pasta dinner provided by the Meridian First Ladies Civitan Club. It was a great day on the bike and off and it went down as another unforgettable day on the best summer of my life.
