25-Jul-17

July 25, 2017 – Tuscaloosa, AL to Birmingham, AL – 55 miles

After a great stay in Tuscaloosa in the mansion known as the Omicron chapter, the team had an easy 55 mile ride into Birmingham. The ride ended with a friendship visit at a place called United Ability. We were greeted with a wonderful group of people and a fantastic lunch. The first activity was a few games of pickle ball. The clients had a blast competing with the team. They followed the game with a surprise performance. The united Ability choir blew us away with their incredible talent.

Later that night we were lucky enough to attend and facilitate a Moody Miracle League softball game. The team experienced one of our favorite and most unique visits of the trip. We were paired with a buddy where we got to help them field the ball and run around the bases after they hit the ball.

All around we had another great day to culture ourselves with the wonderful people of the south. Great day to be a Pi Kapp!
