We were blessed with the opportunity to sleep in until 8 this morning since we had a 0 mile ride. That extra 3 hours of sleep goes a long way. Especially for us crew guys who tend to be up late working to make sure our team is squared away. Anyhow, We visited the Olympic Park at around 11 am. The place was quite extraordinary and had many cool exihibits highlighting the winter Olympics that was hosted there several years ago. However, The coolest attraction was the training jumps for skiing. These kids would fly down these ramps and launch themselves into the water all while doing extravagant flips before entering said water. After our time at the Olympic park, we visited the National Ability Center. They provided us with lunch which was amazing. I had not had some good cheese in awhile. Anyways, We aided them in washing their service vehicles. Also, they gave us a tour of their bicycle fleet. Now this fleet was Huge! I have never seen so many bikes in my life. The best part about the bike fleet is that every bike was all modified to fit each individual client’s needs making some of the bikes extrmely unique. In addition, their staff was amazingly nice and made us feel welcomed and let us ride some of the bikes from their fleet. It was an amazing time and I have so much respect for what the National Ability center does. They Just offer so much for their clients and their bkes are just so cool.
That evening we were welcomed into the Hass’ household. Their eldest son actually participated in The Journey of Hope two years prior to us. They enlightened us with wonderfull advice for our journey by telling us just how much this trip imapcts peoples lives and how its going to influence us in ways we would not be able to grasp quite yet. In additon, the provided us with an amazing meal and just opened their entire home to us all while treating us like family. The Hass’ were awesome people and I am thankful for the opportunity to have been able to meet them and I wish them well in their future endeavors because I will never forget the time I spent with them in Park City. Park City was truly one of the most wonderfull places I have been to. I am going to miss this place so much I may have to move here myself.
