This morning, we woke up to an early sunrise over the lake at Camp Sweyolakan. With urgency and excitement, we geared up to ride 60 miles to Sandpoint. We rolled into the quaint town to find cheering fans and clients of the Panhandle Special Needs Center, ready to meet us. Our friendship visit at Panhandle included games, dancing, an ice cream truck, and plenty of laughs. The organization has been a longtime sponsor of Journey of Hope so many individuals had waited all year to meet us. After, we were treated to a delicious, sponsored baked spaghetti dinner at a restaurant on the shores of Lake Pend Orielle. We all came to Idaho expecting, well, potatoes. What we found is that it’s a state full of stunning landscapes and joyful people. It was a breathtaking experience to say the least and we all can’t wait to come back!
