126 miles. 8,369 vertical feet. 13 hours on the road. 2 mountain passes. 3 national forests. 1 national park. Countless cliff bars and bottles full of Gatorade. Rain. Sleet. Snow.

To say Day 2 was monumental would be an understatement.

The Mount Rainier ride tested all of our grit. We all had nerves about the day going in. But, because each paceline encouraged and pushed each other, every single cyclist finished the day. We dealt with below freezing temperatures and even a rare June snow storm at the top of the first pass. Today’s climb was truly a triumph for our team. Today’s ride was a day we’ll never forget.
