This morning we woke up in our comfortable beds at the Kansas School for the Deaf. The day started off with some delicious omelettes courtesy of Beverly Wittenborn. We then headed off for a tour of Garmin’s world headquarters where we got to learn a lot about their products and markets and tour the facility. Shakil showed us around and it was awesome to meet everyone and see everything they have going on (including a flight simulator). From there, we headed straight to our friendship visit at Inclusion Connection where there were tons of fun games to play with some awesome kids. We presented a $2,000 grant to Inclusion Connections that will go towards exercise equipment in their new facility. Afterwards, we went straight to a delicious taco dinner and some swimming at Debbie’s house, and then the Royals game against the Tigers! It was a busy day for sure but we did a lot of fun stuff and had some great food. Many thanks to Mark Cameron for the incredible hospitality and setting up so many events for us in Olathe. I think everyone on the team will remember Olathe as one of the best stops of the trip. We’re crossing into a new state tomorrow – Missouri!
