Today we had our first day off as a team in Spokane, Washington and I can confidently say that it was definitely a highlight of our journey so far. We got to wake up a couple hours later than usual (6:30am) and spend some extra time at our friendship visit with The ARC of Spokane. We ate breakfast and then played tennis, kickball, basketball and yard games. Talk about a fun time! After the friendship visit, we were able to explore the city of Spokane freely for a couple hours which was nice.
The whole day would not have been so great if it wasn’t for The ARC of Spokane providing breakfast and a wonderful friendship visit and the Ferris family for providing dinner and very generously providing laundry for the entire team. We had a great day and we can’t wait to continue on to Idaho tomorrow!
