We awoke at 6 AM thankful for an extra hour of sleep than most mornings. It was still tough to get out of bed, however, considering we were spoiled by hotel beds. We circled up, prayed, and departed on our 55 mile ride into Terrell, Texas. We arrived at lunch relatively early, so we missed most of the heat. We were provided chicken fried steak which was a first for many of us. The Terrell Lions Club was generous enough to feed us and tell us about their organization. Later that night we ventured over to our friendship visit at the Terrell State Hospital for some burgers and basketball. The kids there were stoked to hang out with us! Most of them either suffered from a mental disability or has family problems at home and were placed there. Overall, we had a blast hanging out with them! We ended the night back at another hotel, the SureStay by Best Western. Spoiled once again.
