The team finished their second, and final, day of cycling in Louisiana on a 104 mile ride to Monroe. Unlike the busy highways in Texas, this ride was in a peaceful Louisiana forest. The high humidity of Louisiana was the only gripe from the cyclists. Delicious subs and pasta salad was provided by Mr. Brad Anders, who a Pi Alpha and former leadership consultant. A pleasant change of pace from the typical crew chief lunches. The local ARCA organization greeted cyclists with large signs and posters upon the rides conclusion. The University of Louisiana Monroe was our home for two days. Dorm beds were a significant step up than air mattresses on the floor. Ms. Kathy Terracina sponsored dinner and the friendship visit with ARCA. Guys chatted and ate with members of the ARCA organization. A few members of ARCA go around nationally and compete in square dancing competitions. We were lucky to see an amazing performance by this traveling dance troop. With a day of the following morning, most of the team decided to go out and try local restaurants
