We started off our day with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Kappa Delta sorority! With the heat index getting above 105 degrees again today, we needed all the extra calories we could get. We rode 100 miles, to put us over 3,000 miles on our trip, from Columbia to Union, with a lunch hosted by Dominick Valenti and alumni by the Missouri River in the middle! Everyone kept their spirits up over some steep climbs and rolling hills. After the ride we went straight to dinner at Imo’s Pizza for some St. Louis style pizza. Being from Pittsburgh it’s always great to try local styles of my favorite foods! The rides and our sponsors throughout Missouri have been absolutely phenomenal, and the views on the bike have really been moments to smell the roses. We are excited to get into St. Louis tomorrow and explore another city as we continue to make our way to D.C.
