June 30, 2017 – Zuni, NM to Grants, NM – 80 miles
Today, we rode from Zuni, New Mexico to Grants, New Mexico on an 80 mile ride with gorgeous scenery. We reached the highest elevation we will reach all trip, peaking just below 8000 feet above sea level. Being at the peak and looking out at the scenery below was spectacular.
For dinner we went to the Grants Elks Lodge, where we were served “New Mexican food”, a delicious take on Mexican food with a spicy and delicious flare. The building was amazing and it was really cool to see how their chapter room was laid out.
Today was definitely one to remember and I’m looking forward to our ride into Albuquerque tomorrow where we will be having several friendship visits!
