Today we rode from Lexington, KY to Morehead, KY, home of the Morehead State Eagles! After racking through Lexington to a news station just outside of town, we began our trek. Riding through Kentucky has been beautiful despite the amount of climbing we have done thus far. We passed multiple horse farms as we made our way into and through the Daniel Boone National Forest located in the Appalachian Mountains (our last mountain range!!!). After we arrived at our lodging sponsored by the Morehead Parks and Rec, we were treated to pasta and breadsticks from Delta Eta chapter at Morehead State!

Our friendship visit today was much different than our typical visit. We went to see how the differently abled support themselves in the Horizon Village independent living community. Shoutout to Micah and Matt for showing us around the facility as well as their personal apartments. Matt’s man cave was awesome!

To end the night we ate pizza and had a wiffle ball game at the baseball field next lodging. It’s been a great couple of days in Kentucky, but we are more than ready to get to West Virginia tomorrow! Our 2nd to last state!
