The team awoke to our 530 wake up call to Mariah Carey “All I Want for Christmas”. While initially a non-popular choice, we all began singing as we hastily packed and headed out to the vans for breakfast. After filling up, the team hit the road for the 60 mile trek to Jacksonville. After riding through rainy conditions the night before, we welcomed the cooler temperatures and low humidity which allowed for perfect riding conditions. Thus far, I’ve been impressed with the speed at which this team moves on the road, averaging speeds above 19-20 mph, all while practicing vigilance on the road. After a ‘fast 60’ the team arrived at Challenge Enterprise, where we had an opportunity to visit with the clients there. We were taken on a tour of the facility, and then we’re treated to lunch and we’re able to get to know the clients better. Later that day, the team met up with the great people at Challenge Enterprise at a local Bowl America, which was followed by an amazing dinner sponsored by the Zeta Zeta Alumni chapter. We also had an opportunity to meet one of the Ability Experience biggest sponsors – The Powers family. To cap off an amazing day, the team was provided lodging at a local hotel where all of the team were able to get an amazing night’s rest. That’s all from Jacksonville! Next Stop Live Oak!
